Ioana Lavinia Safta has a degree in economics, with a master's degree in Audit and Control Accounting Management, she is currently PhD student in the second year in Finance field, with a topic of interest for economics "The relationship between creative accounting and fraud, models for detecting the risk of fraud at the level of economic entities”. She worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Finance, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration , Babeș Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca. She gained over 3 years of experience in accounting, working as an accountant in a financial expertise and audit firm. She is the author / co-author in scientific articles for her studies area. Her research interests are focused on finance and accounting. Lately, she has given special attention on issues related to economic and financial crime.
