Policy regarding the Processing of Personal Data

The personal data controller is Babeș-Bolyai University, located at Mihail Kogălniceanu Street 1, Cluj-Napoca, Romania ("UBB").

Section 1

Processed data: name, surname, email address, name of the organization you belong to, position within the organization, phone number
Purpose of processing: creation, management and administration of the account on the Platform (as defined in the Terms and Conditions section of this website)
Basis of processing: execution of the contract on the account within the Platform
Transfer of personal data: personal data are stored in Romania and are accessible to providers used in the management of the Platform
Period of processing personal data: during the existence of the account within the Platform and subsequently according to legal requirements, including archiving.

Section 2

Data processed: name, surname, email address, personal data in the correspondence
Purpose of processing: communication to respond to requests received on contact details and in the online form by visitors to the website or users of the Platform
Grounds for processing: legitimate interest
Transfer of personal data: personal data are stored in Romania and are accessible to providers used in the management of the website and the Platform
Period of processing personal data: according to legal requirements, including archiving

Section 3

Processed data: name, surname, email address
Purpose of processing: sending to the users of the Platform the newsletter related to the activity of the website
Basis of processing: consent; consent can be withdrawn by unsubscribing from newsletter emails and related section of profile settings
Transfer of personal data: personal data are stored in Romania and are accessible to providers used in the management of the website and the Platform
Period of processing personal data: according to legal requirements, including archiving

Rights regarding the processing of personal data:

  1. Right of access: You have the right to request information from UBB regarding the processing of your personal data by UBB.
  2. Right of rectification: You have the right to request UBB to rectify your incorrect personal data.
  3. Right of deletion: you have the right to request UBB to delete your personal data in certain situations, such as: personal data are no longer necessary for the purpose of the processing for which they were collected, consent has been withdrawn for their processing by UBB.
  4. Right to restrict processing: you have the right to request UBB to restrict the processing of UBB in certain situations, such as when I challenge the accuracy of the personal data processed by UBB, the processing of personal data is not performed in in accordance with the law.
  5. Right of opposition: you have the right to oppose at any time, for good and legitimate reasons related to my particular situation, as data intended to be processed, unless there are legal provisions to the contrary.
  6. Right of portability: You have the right to request UBB to transmit your personal data processed by UBB to you or to another entity that will process your personal data.
    This Policy on the processing of personal data enters into force on 2 June 2021.
    This Policy on the processing of personal data may be updated periodically. Any updates will become applicable within 7 days from the date of publication of the new version on the site.
