Neli Muntean holds a PhD in Economics and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Management, Faculty of Economic and Business Engineering, Technical University of Moldova, Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. She holds the quality of Doctoral Supervisor in the specialties of Accounting, Audit, Economic analysis and Finance. She has 18 years’ experience in the academic field. She is author/co-author of more than 80 scientific works (monographs, books, scientific articles, conferences papers). Research interests: Bankruptcy risk assessment, Corporate financial stability determinants analysis, Risk Management. During the period 2016-2022 she was director/member of more than 8 scientific/institutional projects. Starting with May 2020 she became a Member of the Commission of Experts in the field of Economic Sciences, Sociology, Media and Communication of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research of Republic of Moldova. During the period 02 October 2019 - 20 December 2019 she fulfilled the Advanced Programme in European Law and Economics, Riga Graduate School of Law, Latvia, a Short-Duration Programmes funded by the government of Latvia together with the government of Norway, in cooperation with the governments of the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States of America. In 2016 obtained a Postdoctoral PhD in Economics within the scholarship Eugen Ionescu 2015-2016 funded by the Romanian government for research internships at Romanian universities, Babeş-Bolyai University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Romania, Cluj. Since 2015s he is a Member of the Romanian Society of Economic and Financial Analysts, SRAEF.
